Uncover the hidden impact of ransomware attacks on mental health in organizations. Join our experienced psychologists as they draw from real-life stories to reveal effective strategies to reduce the psychological fallout of ransomware attacks, and shed light on the urgency of addressing mental well-being in the face of cyber incidents.
We utilize a three-phase approach: pre-incident preparation, mental impact support during incidents, and post-incident support. We describe key elements to create an environment that fosters mental health resilience and empowers people during ransomware attacks.
Discover the often overlooked aspect of ransomware attacks—the profound toll on mental health within victim organizations. Join our passionate psychologists as they unravel the secrets to mitigating these unseen consequences. Through captivating real-life stories and experiences, we shed light on the urgent need to address mental well-being in the face of cyber threats.
In this session, we provide a comprehensive overview of concrete measures to reduce the mental impact, accompanied by compelling examples. Drawing from our own research into the mental impact of ransomware attacks (Northwave, 2022), psychological literature and our own expertise in combating mental health issues during ransomware attacks, we emphasize the importance of three critical phases.
First, we delve into proactive planning, enabling companies to fortify their mental health resilience before an attack occurs. We highlight key considerations for a comprehensive mental health strategy. Second, we share insights on what works to mitigate the negative impact on mental health during incidents. We explore vital techniques such as mental health monitoring, fostering healthy coping mechanisms, and providing invaluable support to employees. Third, we share insights into how organizations can assess and mitigate mental impact after the incident, by utilizing tools such as a mental impact scan, evaluation sessions and by optimizing the mental health landscape in an organization. After this presentation, you will have gained practical insights to effectively address the mental consequences of ransomware attacks.
Join us for a thought-provoking session where the worlds of psychology and cybersecurity intersect. Our shared goal is to shed light on the mental impact of cyber incidents and empower organizations to foster resilience.
