WICCON 2025

WICCON 2025

WICCON 2025 CFP

WICCON is a not-for-profit, English-speaking, two-day, single-track information security conference, taking place on the 30th and 31st of October in The Netherlands. At WICCON, we want to recognize and showcase women’s success in the cybersecurity field. We want to inspire the rest of the community to pursue a career in security and demonstrate how women can also be successful subject matter experts. The hard stuff doesn’t scare us, and we’re ready to talk about what truly matters in the field.

WICCON is a conference with an all-women speaker line-up designed to highlight women’s achievements in the cybersecurity field.

WHAT CONTENT DO WE LIKE

Talks

We are a single-track conference that wants to demonstrate how women can also be successful subject matter experts in information security. The hard stuff doesn’t scare us, and we’re ready to talk about what truly matters in the field. Since we are a single-track conference, talk slots are limited, and we are therefore unlikely to feature several talks covering the same subject.

The speaker slots on our schedule are 30-60 minutes, including a Q&A. All speakers get a complementary pass (and a +1) to the conference.

Workshops

WICCON also includes space for interactive workshops; hands-on sessions where participants get to actively engage with skills and ideas. These sessions are designed to explore practical aspects of information security and adjacent topics like OSINT, hardware hacking, digital rights, or cybersecurity education.

For workshops, we welcome presenters of all genders. Duration is flexible, but typically between 60–120 minutes. Workshops will not be recorded or streamed. All workshop leaders get a complementary pass (and a +1) to the conference.

WHAT WE NEED

To be considered for a speaker or workshop slot at WICCON, you need to submit via our CFP platform providing us with the following information:

  • Contact information for you and any joint speaker you require for your presentation (email, phone, social media and preferred name and pronouns when referencing you in announcements and in the schedule).

  • Proposal title Keep it short and catchy. Something we can imagine on a banner.

  • Abstract (<6 sentences) of your content that we are permitted to publish in case of your acceptance. Short and inviting. What’s it about? What will people learn?

  • Description continued from the abstract but you can go a bit more in depth. Imagine a mini blog post that we are permitted to publish in case of your acceptance.

  • The estimated length of your talk or workshop

  • Has this presentation been given before somewhere?

  • Can we record/stream your talk? (Workshops will not be streamed or recorded)

  • Notes for reviewers and organizers, Anything you want the team to know (e.g. “first-time speaker”, “expect cursed slides”, “needs tech check”).

  • A short bio (<6 sentences) of who you are (bio) that we are permitted to publish in case of your acceptance.

  • References, if any, to other talks you have given, articles published or videos of previous presentations for our consideration.

  • Any material you need from us on stage (apart from a microphone and a place to plug in your laptop), or in the workshop space.
